These are some of the issues the County, SFWM, FDEP, and other government agency involve need to address for discussion.

Florida has a lot of mining activities going on (map of existing mines). In Carlton and Glades Cutoff Road alone, we already have Florida Rock, which can supply most of the needed materials for St. Lucie County. St. Lucie County alone has approximately 12 mining location (old stat). Dickerson Florida already has a lot of mining pit in different sections of Florida which are not fully utliized.

Mining activities - as everybody knows - bring in a lot of money, but we should consider its adverse impact manifested all over the world. If we do not put a stop and minimize this nature - raping activity now, we and the future children will wake up one day and realize what we have been taking for granted is gone forever!
