ROAD AND TRAFFIC ISSUES

RELATED INFORMATION

There are several items we have to consider before we subject these roads to heavy truckloads of limerock.

Think about a minimum of 550 dump trucks per minute rumbling down the street, right next to your house. The pumps and machineries running constantly from 6am to 6pm, mostly - 24x7. It feels like mosquitoes humming into your ears. Does that sounds wonderful? Not everybody goes to work at 6am. And this activity will keep on going n for 30 years..

(ORIGINAL PROPOSAL)- is to pave the remaining dirt road at Carlton Road with cheap recycled asphalt dug up from an old road.

(NEW PROPOSAL): check this plan . Carlton Road will remain unpaved, 2 parallel road running side by side with each other, and Dickerson Florida will still use the paved North Carlton Road and Glades Cutoff Road.

Carlton Road is a two-lane 35mph road – a dirt road that Dickerson Florida is going to be paved with cheap recycled asphalt dug up from an old road. How long will that last? Glades Cutoff Road is also a two-lane 50 mph road. Right now, the road is falling apart due to cheap materials used. In the past, Florida Rock used this road. It has potholes on several sections. The road is narrow on both directions (same as Carlton Rd). Most of the road going to “civilization” are also two lanes such as Rangeline, Midway Rd. intersection, Okechobee Road.

So where are we going to put all these trucks without getting into problems?
