- NOISE AND TRANSPORTATION ISSUES-

We thought about this issue. How is FPL going to transport the coal (Pulverized Coal Technology) to their plant. Railroad track is just right beside, running parallel to Glades Cutoff Road. The 2x a day scheduled train that passes regularly is already noisy but bearable. If they add more trains everyday, we will have "soup for brains"! Think of the constant rattling of your walls and your 2 irreplaceable ears. Are we going to wear hearing aids in the future?

What about the coal dust that is going to be in those carts?. Layer of Coal Particles along the railway is very conducive to fire.

We visited one of the FPL power plant in Fort Lauderdale, and stand 500 feet from it. The constant humming is not bearable at all! We can hear it half a mile when we walk the dogs at night!

We already did some research on the effects of noise at NoRock.Org. Click here for Information on noise affecting health. Blasting is not at all a part of this, but the generators and other equipments running will be a part of our lives 24x7 days/week. Think about it!
