More
and more Floridians are demanding their counties to pass ordinance
to mining and blasting activities due to its native destructiveness
and adverse effects to both inhabitants, aquifers, health and
infrastructure.
Ordinance
still does not show how far mining should be near residential
areas! No government agencies can answer this
question!Blasting is controlled by the State's Fire Marshall, but
they do not have any rules on how far blasting should be near residents.
They only talk about the employees, the days and hours they can
blast and who are authorized to blast!
DO
YOU THINK IT 'S TIME FOR ST. LUCIE COUNTY TO PASS ITS OWN
ORDINANCE PROTECTING THE PEOPLE, NATURAL RESOURCES AND INFRASTRUCTURE?
If
you do, then contact your commissioners and lets write a petition
demanding for it. It was once promised, why can't it be done
today! Or are we still living in the past?
